I am a Professor of Industrial Mathematics at the University of Huddersfield and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Limerick. My research focusses on developing mathematical models of industrial processes. I have written papers with and/or recieved funding from multinational companies such as J&J, Philips, Pfizer, Teva Pharmaceuticals and Analog Devices. I have also worked with smaller companies such as RUSAL Aughinish Alumina, National Vehicle Distribution.

My work has been profiled in articles by Time Magazine the Wall Street Journal, the Economist, the BBC (also), Nature News and Nature Physics.
